Gege Gatt has many callings – he’s lawyer by profession, co-founder of a successful web & technology firm in Malta called ICON and a keen sportsman. But, he’d probably say he has only one true vocation. Photography. Having just turned 30, Gege has a wiser head than his years belie. His photography seems to ooze decades of experience behind the lens for its professionalism and execution. But the way Gege captures an instance and sees stories in the everyday around us comes from his ever youthful instinct and inquisitive eye. Gege is a founding member and group leader of the Malta Flickr group, Flickristi. See more of Gege’s work.

Anne Muscat Scerri is a Swedish national who has lived in Malta for over ten years. She specialises in children and family photography. Her focus is to capture the magic moment that creates an image to be treasured for years to come. Often it is just a single second when it all comes together. Anne concentrates on capturing the spirit of her often young ‘models’. She is passionate about keeping things simple by using the wonderful Maltese light and environment; this way she knows her photography captures a relaxed and true reflection of the subject. Amanda Holmes: “I’ve had a camera for as long as I can remember, and was encouraged in my early efforts by my father, a keen and passionate photographer and artist. At some point in my early teens, my Grandfather gave me my first SLR, his ancient Rolleiflex. It was indestructible, reliable and had no exposure meter – absolutely perfect for learning photography. Over the years my enduring interest has been wildlife subjects, with forays into black & white portraiture, developing, and underwater and travel photography. Today, my lens is most often pointing at one or more of my three young children, but I strive to keep my eyes open to all the quirky, beautiful and fascinating things which surround us.”
Therese Debono has many interests which she often calls ‘loves’. She’s a Draughtsman by profession, a netball enthusiast and a jazz lover. But, her true love is photography. Her professional training has helped her appreciate form, light and beauty so it was only a matter of time before she acquired her first camera. She loves to capture moments, to depict how her world appears through a lens. Therese is co founder of the Malta Flickr group Flickristi. See more of her work on Flickr.
